I think it's impressive that the Big Ten has 4 teams in the top 16, despite 3 of them having a loss.

Also of note: Texas is the highest ranked 2-loss team.
Interesting, though, that there is quite a difference between the human polls (where Mizzou is 16/18) and the computer polls (where Mizzou is 11). Heck, one of the computers has Mizzou at #2, and another doesn't even have them in the top 25. Go figure.

A win against Oklahoma would be huge for MU regardless, but now that they've come out on top of the BCS polls, it would be even bigger. I'm trying really hard not to get ahead of myself given our recent history in big games against OU, but this is exciting.

I'm all but settled on making my way to Columbia for the game. Anyone else going?

I wish I was going. A friend of mine is driving up for the game with the Franklin's and getting one of his four family tickets. I'm extremely envious. That atmosphere is just going to be rocking up there. I bet very few people get anything done at mizzou this week.

My old roommate appears to have found me a ticket.

This is going to be a long week.

Yep. I think I'm gonna head up there even though I don't have a ticket, still have a few friends hangin around.

With all the dissapointment Arkansas has caused this year, I'm just glad to still have a dog in the fight. Of course, OU has been Mizzou's kryptonite in situations like this lately....

MU has seen this play before...and it always ends the same way....

Greek tragedies are the worst...

Good luck, MU fans...I have a feeling you'll need it.

You are probably right.

Is Aldon Smith going to play?

Pinkel said he wants to see how he practices before he commits to playing Aldon Smith. But it sounds like something of a formality, knock on wood. Luke Lambert is out.

If this was a Greek tragedy, Sisyphus would be wearing a black Mizzou visor and pushing a schooner up a hill. Although there have been a lot of these types of streaks Pinkel has ended- beating Nebraska, beating them in Lincoln, beating K State, etc. He's gotta get past OU eventually, right?

Or not. I'm not going to let it dampen my excitement.

If the Tigers win, no goalpost in town is safe.

I can't believe the line has actually dropped. Oklahoma -3 seems like a really good bet to me. I'd obviously love to see Mizzou win, but mainly they just need to be competitive. If they don't get blown out they won't drop very far and beating Nebraska and K-State are the most important things. Do that and you're in the Big XII title game against probably OU again and the Tigers could save the upset for then.

I still think OU is better than Mizzou, but this Sooner team is probably the worst of any the Tigers have played in the Stoops era. I would only be mildly surprised if they pulled off the upset.
