Here's a report on my weekend drinking.

Friday:
Two cold Buds at work
Shared a bottle of Pirramimma Petit Verdot (which is kind of like a Shiraz)
Three caipirinhas
One Miller High life

Saturday:
Shared a bottle of Mark West Pinot Noir
Three Blue Moon Pumpkin Ales
A Sierra Nevada Wheat
A "necropolitan" martini (which was basically a cosmo)

Sunday:
Shared a bottle of Pinot Evil

I am shaking my head in disgust.

There are only two kinds of martinis that deserve the name- a vodka martini, and a gin martini. You can accessorize however you want, but if it's anything other than gin and vermouth or vodka and vermouth, it's really just a pair of panties in a cool-looking glass.

I'm with you on that... but I was at a Halloween party and it's hard to turn down booze.

Preaching to the choir there. I'm a gin martini guy (gin, up, olives). Including vodka was just my olive branch after the panties-in-a-glass aggression.

The last time I drank was two weeks ago on a Friday night. I had four screwdrivers in about 45 minutes in my friend's dorm room, so I went from 0 to smashed real fast and ended up passing out in my bed at about 10:30.

That was a bad hangover.
