1. What in the world is Taco John's?

2. Why would a taco place make chili?

I believe you are my polar opposite. I love Steak-N-Shake, but their chili is decidedly mediocre.

'Tis a shame. It's the only chili where I don't need cheese or onions and enjoy it plain or with crackers.

I do not like Steak and Shake's chili either. And I love chili.

What chili do you love then?

Our town is really small, but every October they hold a chili cook-off and about 30 people enter. One year someone made a white chili, and I thought it was manna sent from Heaven. I never thought I could love a chili that wasn't dark red.

Indianapolis-based Steak n Shake has voluntarily recalled all 10-ounce cans of chili sold under its name at its restaurants and at grocery stores.

The canned chili is made by Castleberry's Food Co., which recalled canned-meat products possibly connected to a botulism outbreak.

They are all over the place, but only one in Missouri I see. I would think a west-mex place would do chili justice, but theirs just tastes like spicy mud.

Who cares if this is covered with cheese and onions. It's all part of the Cincinnati chili experience.

Have you ever had a chili bean skin that you didn't chew well enough?
