To bring some positivity to the conversation, I think the Beach Boys have aged phenomenally and do a lot for me.
I was listening to Spotify Radio, whatever they threw up after "For No One", and "God Only Knows" came on. It made me feel better than I have in months. The Beatles still bury them.
I can't believe Foo Fighters are a HOF band??? Erm...I like "Everlong" and...Thanks for being the nicest guy in music, Dave.
1) Nirvana- Overplayed and depressing. Instant radio change.
2) The Beatles- Overexposed, overrated. They're obviously great, but my God am I sick of hearing about them.
3) Prince- I respect his guitar playing abilities, dear Lord are his songs awful to listen to.
Extra credit- Radiohead. It is also one of my favorite bands. But any Radiohead song that people know, which is usually just Creep, High and Dry, or Fake Plastic Trees are pretty awful.
Sir, we shall duel in the village square at high noon because of these takes.
You better Get Back before I drive my Little Red Corvette over to your Heart Shaped Box and chuck it in a Strawberry Field While your Guitar Gently Weeps.
btw Paranoid Android is the best modern rock song of all time.

Ok Computer and In Rainbows are stellar. Everybody hated on King of Limbs but it's one of my favorites.
The video where Prince played with Tom Petty (also mentioned in this thread) and others at a George Harrison tribute (also mentioned) was very cool. I know Prince is talented, but I really don't GET it.
Nirvana makes me feel like my dog just died and I need a hot shower.
U2 - like some of their songs but Bono’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Fleetwood Mac - love the early stuff before they went all pop with Buckingham/Nicks.
Matchbox Twenty/Maroon 5 - always get them confused but doesn’t matter since I don’t like either. Also doesn’t matter since neither is legendary.
Mariah Carey - she may be the best selling artist of all time or whatever her claim to fame is but I can’t tell you one song of hers outside of the stupid Christmas one. Who needs 5 octaves anyway?
Elliot Smith...I'm seeking a divorce from zeus. He is horribly overrated though. His fans are baffled at why he's not more popular. The gal I might marry is Elliot-mad, doesn't get my shrug. It's because he tries to be Beatles and lacks their chops or voice. Sorry, dude.
The Doors, Tom Petty, and Tom Waits are the Triumvirate of I don't know what in the hell people see in these guys. All three are instant turn offs to me if they come on the radio.

I feel like you deserve to know that I’m on my way to your house to murder you, right now. You’ve been a good friend. But.
