Per ESPN, the punishment was heavier because Kelley had been suspended 6 games for throwing at someone and then fighting in 2018.

I like to think that he was running a long con when he broke the window last summer and was planning on using it as an excuse.
I really like Joe Kelly. I hate the Astros. This was fun.

No fans (the creativity of signs and demonstrations was going to be great). And now Uncle Rob says (emphatically) nothing between the lines either.
I really hope we can put a pin in this and save it for next year.

He also threw at their heads. If he was throwing the ball at their legs or butts he may have been given a shorter punishment. It really comes down to him basically just missing 1 turn in the rotation.

Re: Former Cardinals Watch
Here's a nice article on Jon Jay and how he has joined a very exclusive club. To one of the nice guys in the league, I say congrats, Jon!
In an MLB season short of celebrations, Jon Jay achieves a veteran's milestone
Jay is about to join an exclusive fraternity on Wednesday. That's the day he will reach 10 full years of major league service time, something only about 6% of the nearly 20,000 players who have worn a big-league uniform have achieved, according to the Major League Baseball Players Association.
"When you look at the history of this game and the names who have played and to be able to play for 10 years, the numbers are against you, so to reach that number is a huge accomplishment," Jay said. "This is going to be the first individual accomplishment I'm very, very proud of. Winning the World Series is all about the team. Going to the playoffs is all about the team. But this is personal, and I will definitely cherish this."

Trevor Rosenthal is the closer in KC now. He’s looking great, which is cool to see after he had TJ in ‘18 and looked lost and possibly done in ‘19.
