It sucked to lose in the ninth but the offense also went to sleep after getting the four runs early. They really should have piled on more. Easy to say I know but you never want your offense to go to sleep that early in the game especially at Miller Park.

Cards really box themselves into a corner with their bullpen construction. Last year it was Broxton/Soco. This year it’s Tui/Norris. Strange. And they’re carrying Mayers on top of it.
