It sucked to lose in the ninth but the offense also went to sleep after getting the four runs early. They really should have piled on more. Easy to say I know but you never want your offense to go to sleep that early in the game especially at Miller Park.

One pitch away from being a genius.stlouie_lipp wrote:The Manager thought it was a good idea. Seriously, he did.jagtrader wrote:Getting a 5-out save with Leone is not a winning plan. Almost pulled it off.
Now he looks like an idiot.
Just gotta give the brewers credit. They earned this win.

Offense didn’t go to sleep. Brewers have a good bullpen.

You'd even disagree with me if I said Mike Matheny was a handsome man.jagtrader wrote:Offense didn’t go to sleep. Brewers have a good bullpen.

After the first home run I don't think leaving him in was genius.dmarx114 wrote:One pitch away from being a genius.stlouie_lipp wrote:The Manager thought it was a good idea. Seriously, he did.jagtrader wrote:Getting a 5-out save with Leone is not a winning plan. Almost pulled it off.

Cards really box themselves into a corner with their bullpen construction. Last year it was Broxton/Soco. This year it’s Tui/Norris. Strange. And they’re carrying Mayers on top of it.

Cards/Brewers tonight was the first game in MLB history to start and end with back to back bombs
