I get that, Swirls. As a north-side Chicagoan, I know a lot of Cubs fans, and there's probably a lot of selection bias since most of the people I talk to are friends and my friends are people I generally like. For them, and for my city, I kinda hope the Cubs win.

This is how I am with the Vikings. I am a diehard Packers fan, but the Vikings are local and have a hell of a team this year. Sure they're a major division rival of the Packers, but they're an expansion era team so the rivalry isn't as heated and bitter as it is with the Bears.themiddle54 wrote:I get that, Swirls. They're a likable team with a very loyal fanbase that deserves a Super Bowl win. 90% of our friends up here are Vikings fans. If the Packers don't go all the way (quite likely considering they have like the worst pass defense in the NFL right now, which would hopefully improve once both of their top cornerbacks return from injury), I'm definitely rooting for the Vikings.
