I think its fine with starting kids with episode I since while us as grown adults think Jar Jar is annoying he's someone who someone under 5 years old might actually like. It's actually a good way to ease the kid into the franchise before he gets into the much more serious episodes.

I'm getting pretty pumped. Most of the reviews are positive. Sounds like an adult war movie, more than a movie for the kids.
