Me too, though the inability to move forward from the original trilogy (do we really need the f'ing Millennium Falcon?) and the chintzy narration weren't winners. Everything else looked spot-on.

Think the lack of moving forward from the original trilogy has already been decided. Hamill, Fisher, Ford, C3PO, R2D2, all in the movie, right?

Yeah, that's my biggest concern. Hopefully they're not too much more than cameos.

It's a 9 part story. I don't think they can easily move in a new direction.

But they're the ones that decided to make it a nine-part story, for which there's scarcely more need than if James Bond were a 24-part story. It's a movie series about a far-off galaxy that features hundreds (presumably) of planets full of wildly diverse creatures and environs. If Luke et al play some kind of major role in this movie, I'd be disappointed. Which isn't to say it couldn't otherwise be good - I'm just aggressively anti-nostalgia in this regard.

i enjoyed the trailer too. its weird how seeing the title and that music can really get me pumped.
