Spanked.
Let Miller, Roy, Ott walk. Keep Berglund only if he comes at a 3rd liner's price. That's what he is. A really good 3rd liner who can chip in some goals. Backes, Osh and Steener make a great 2nd line. Tank, Schwartz and an elite player would make a really good 1st line. Boat, Berglund, Lappy, Porter, and a slew of others can round out the bottom 6. Rattie and/or Jaskin might fit there, on the 3rd and 4th line, not on a scoring line.
Keep the Dmen... find a place for Cole?
Roll with Elliot/Allen, and pool the cash for an elite scorer/playmaker if possible. It might not be possible, but try.

I root for Buffalo. So strange to see Miller play so poorly throughout the series. He seemed like a different player than the one I watched for the last 10 years. Sorry it didn't work out.

Yes, Miller looked terrible in that game. Once they fell behind early in the 3rd the wheels just came off. The Blues got a really tough draw for a 1st round matchup, though. But you'd probably have to beat the Blackhawks at some point either way, whether in the first round or later. In hindsight the backbreaker was that game #5. Have to protect home ice.

All they needed was 1 point in the last 6 games to not have to play the Blackhawks in the 1st roundpioneer98 wrote:Yes, Miller looked terrible in that game. I agree with most of the post-Apocalyptic Blues talk. I do, however, want to do what we can to keep Ott on this team. I like the fire that he brings. He may not be the most talented guy on the ice, but he makes up for it with that... dare I say it... grit.
The rest can walk. Including Berglund.
Get a goal scorer. Not a guy who will "one day be that kinda guy." Been hearing that for years and years. Get a PROVEN goal scorer.

Berglund was hurt the whole series. He can't win. If he sits he's soft. If he plays hurt and is reluctant to get physical he's soft. He showed a lot of heart to even suit up.

They had the same # of wins as Colorado, and had them beat head to head, so if they had tied in points the Blues would have won the division, so really they only needed one.longhornbaseball wrote:They needed two, but yeah, the last month has sucked ass.Secret Weapon wrote:All they needed was 1 point in the last 6 games to not have to play the Blackhawks in the 1st roundpioneer98 wrote:Yes, Miller looked terrible in that game.
