Re: 2013-2014 NBA Season
A few years ago the idea of the Clippers embarassing the Lakers was unthinkable and now it looks like the Clippers will be the main LA team for the next few years.

I haven't watched a LOT of NBA this year (mainly because the Bulls and Nuggets both suck), but that Heat/Pacers game last night was intense!

So, uh, Donald Sterling is a really bad guy.

The next game in the Staples Center is Tuesday. It would be interesting if the teams staged a walkout.Vidor wrote:So, uh, Donald Sterling is a really bad guy.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Let the Clippers go on strike for a game, preferably with the other team also refusing to play. Maybe that will force the NBA's hand.obucard wrote:The next game in the Staples Center is Tuesday. I'd rather see them walk out in the middle of the game. Paul alley-oops to Griffin for a monster jam, then no one bothers with the inbound pass because all the players have left the court, as have the benches and coaching staffs.Vidor wrote:I was thinking exactly the same thing. So the Clippers players wore their warmup uniforms inside-out during pre-game shoot-around, in protest of Sterling's remarks.

Anyone else find it kind of disingenuous of Doc Rivers to respond to this incident with such outrage and claim he doesn't know if he'll be back next year? The world has known Donald Sterling is a racist POS for decades, you signed his contract, took his money and now you're this paragon of racial integrity making a stand? He was more than happy to sign on with the Clips with more than enough information to know he was taking money from a bad guy. Same goes for every player who signed there as a free agent and is now "offended."

I think they're simply taking the "popular" position now. You're right though....... it does seem pretty shallow.
