Well, another punch to the gut. Blackhawks announce that Kane and Toews will both be ready to go for game one. That was the one case where I thought the Blues might have had a chance (if those guys weren't ready to go). Unless the Blues get a few of their injured forwards back before the series they're toast.

I'm basically of the mindset that they're not even going to put up muchof a fight in round 1. If they can somehow advance, I'll just be pleasantly surprised.

For as long as I can remember (going back to the 70's) these teams played in the Eastern and Western Conference, respectively. So, outside of a Stanley Cup Final, they wouldn't have played.
