And we have averaged 1.9 goals/game since Tarasenko has been injured. But hey, we barely beat a terrible Buffalo team last night so we shouldn't discuss any concerns we may have going into the playoffs, especially since the Blues always take their game up another level during the postseason.
Tarasenko was the driving force of our secondary scoring, but Schwartz hasn't gone anywhere, Berglund has been better since the Stewart trade, and Jaskin might produce if he's given a chance to stay in the lineup. The Morrow/Ott/Roy line isn't working, despite Hitch's hard-on for them; I'd be happy to see them moved around, but this team isn't changing anytime soon. They aren't scoring a ton right now, but they're still winning.

I hate to think this is actually the case, but, there's little else to think after watching their on and off again effort the last 2 or 3 weeks. The inconsistency doesn't match up with the fact the Blues players have repeatedly said the Prez Trophy is one of their goals towards winning the SC, though.

Trading away scoring to marginally improve our goaltending situation may not have been the wisest move. I know Chris Stewart is an enigma and rarely shows up in big games, but he does get in stretches where he scores in bunches and he was our leading point getter last year. To send him away for a guy who is -11 with his 11 games with us has hurt our supplemental scoring. Then you take out Steen and Tarasenko and our scoring really takes a hit.

I just hope we can tighten up the defense, and Ryan Miller can get hot so we can make a solid playoff run.

Part of me hopes Miller walks after this year, we roll with Bishop and Elliot and obtain a decent scorer in the offseason with the money we save.

IIRC, Stewart was non-existent in last year's playoffs. (Looked it up: 1 point in 6 games last year; 3 points in 13 total playoff games for the Blues.) I'm ok with his departure.

This team is missing Tarasenko.

I really need Steen to come back, he's sitting on 33 goals after 64 games. I have a $100 scotch bet that he'll score 35 goals this season. We push at 34, and he had to play at least 60 games.

Looks like he's back tonight. He still needs the hat trick to complete the line trick.

Come the [expletive] on, Blues. Even I can't defend your game right now.
