I thin he'd want both of those goals back from the TB game. Neither Phoenix goal was on him, but an unscreened 5-hole wrister from an angled slot and an overcommitment to a fake one-timer are not good goals.

The first goal wasn't as bad as the 2nd goal. He was way out of position on the latter.

How about Ben Bishop. I heard he had between 60-100 friends and family in attendance. Loses a 2-0 shutout after 20 mins of play. Rough homecoming.

Big Ben might win the Vezina this year, I know we couldn't keep him with Halak and Elliot, but seems like a steal for a second round pick.

The Blues' start wasn't as bad as it seemed last night. They had a bunch of scoring chances in the first, but Bishop stoned them. The first goal is on Shattenkirk, who made a terrible pass from behind the net, but Miller probably could have stopped it. The second goal was also on the D, who just let Tampa pick them apart with passes. They were really lucky in the third period when Steen was in the box for "goalie interference". Marty St. Louis missed a wide open net on a play that was similar to the second goal Tampa scored. He puts that in 90% of the time. I agree with JoD that Miller has looked a little nervous/is over committing. The Morrow/Roy/Ott line was the best line on the ice for a lot of the game, which is saying something, because I thought all of the forwards played really well.

Guess that Brodeur trade talk was premature.

He's been bad but not the worst goalie in the league. Definitely outplayed by Cory Schneider.

The 2nd round pick went to Ottawa. They traded Bishop to Tampa for a 4th round pick and an undrafted 4th line center they just waived before the trade deadline. Bishop made a huge turn around after leaving St. Louis.

Ells made two huge saves in the 3rd period to preserve the regulation tie.
