This conditional pick is hard to follow.
Report from Pierre Lebrun says if we reach the WCF or Miller re-signs, then yes, the 2016 3rd becomes a 2014 1st.
BUT, the Blues would then get Minnesota's 2nd rounder this year ( which Buffalo got for trading Jason Pominville) along with Buffalo's 3rd rounder.
Hopefully this settles it.

If we sweep the division series but lose in the WCF, and it's on a Thursday, we give up Minnesota's 2nd for Nashville's 3rd from the Suter signing. Minnesota's 2nd goes to Ottawa and Ottawa's 4th and 5th go to Buffalo. If Buffalo moves either Halak or Stewart to a western conference team with more than 90 points at the end of the season, the Blues keep their 2015 1st and get Lars Eller back.MrCrowesGarden wrote:This conditional pick is hard to follow.

Unless Petro has Raisin Bran, then the deal is off.

My brother somehow finagled his way into sitting in the owner's box for the game. Pretty good one to see in person.

Awesome. I only saw the highlights, but looked like Miller played pretty well. As best as I could tell, the two goals came on a funny bounce and a blown assignment-- hard to blame that on him. Glad the offense finally woke up in the 3rd.cardsfansince82 wrote:My brother somehow finagled his way into sitting in the owner's box for the game. Pretty good one to see in person.

You are right with regards to Miller. He played very well, considering what was going on in front of him for the first two periods against Phx. The Blues looked horribly lost on offense and were just standing around on defense. Miller had no chance on that second goal.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Awesome. He was probably wondering that the heck he had gotten himself into after 40 mins of play. But, he played his nuts off making some extremely solid, tough saves to keep the score at 2-0. Kept the Blues in the game.
Bergie finally score his first of two goals, then the flood gates opened. 4 unanswered goals in the 3rd.
What a way to break out of the funk.
The Blues set a franchise record for scoreless minutes: 187, I believe is the new number. Incredible.
