Lots to take away from this week.

-Robert Quinn is the new franchise record-holder for sacks in a season. He may in fact be a cyborg.
-Matches 7 wins from a year ago, and did it for most of the year without Bradford. May even get to 8-8 if Seattle takes care of business this week vs. Arizona and has nothing to play for in Wk 17.
-Redskins lose again, so that pick remains at #2. If the Texans beat the Titans, and the Redskins lose to the Giants, the Rams will hold the #1 pick.

On the downside, Jake Long looks like he tore his ACL. Unless someone gives the Rams a king's ransom for their pick, look for Jake Matthews to be wearing Horns next year. Fills a need and is arguably the best player that'll be available-- not too often that combination comes around.

A group of 49ers fans who raised money for a billboard in Seattle, to brag about their team’s five Super Bowl trophies, have gotten their sign.

The digital billboard in question, pictured here at center-left, is just north of Fife, about 27 miles from downtown Seattle.

So much for erecting a sign next to CenturyLink Field just south of downtown Seattle. The digital billboard along the side of Interstate-5 is 26.8 miles away from the Seahawks’ home field via the freeway.

For context, that would be as if Seahawks fans got a billboard in Palo Alto, Calif. Sure, that’s 49ers country, but it ain’t exactly right next to Candlestick Park (28 miles away, in fact).

San Francisco fans paid $7,000 for that?

The organizer of the billboard effort confirmed the location to seattlepi.com on Sunday. According to the group’s online fundraising page, 49ers fans raised more than $11,400 for the billboard, which depicts five Super Bowl trophies with the text, “Got Lombardis?”

As we previously reported, the excess money is slated for donation to Seattle Children’s hospital.

Won't happen. Fisher's said as much in a presser months ago.

Bradford is due 17.5 million next year. If they cut him, he would only cost 3.5 million against the cap. Draft a QB and you would save quite a bit of money for a team that doesn't have a lot of cap space.

You can't afford to spend that much money on a mediocre QB and still build a decent team around that. Hell, Tom Brady only makes 15 million.

BTW it would be hilarious if the Redskins ended up with the #1 overall pick

If they draft a QB high, then they are in the same salary situation (or worse).

If they draft a QB high, then they are in the same salary situation (or worse).

No they aren't because of the new rookie contract limits. Andrew Luck was drafted #1 and only counted 4 million against the cap the first year. They would save about 10 million by cutting Bradford and drafting the top rookie QB.
