Seems like his connective tissue can't take the torque his power and speed cause when he stop-cuts.
Anyway, I don't care how they do it, I want them in this lottery. Operate on Noah's feet, trade Deng, play Snell and Teague 35 minutes a game, whatever it takes.

Yeah I don't think he deserves extra credit or sympathy or whatever. He doesn't do anything that other guys haven't done before him.jim wrote:He's injury prone. Brittle. Let's just say it.

You can get tickets right now for the Bulls/Heat game tomorrow night for < $50, and that's sitting. Last March when I went to the Heat game you couldn't get in the place with a standing room ticket for < 100. Now the Heat were riding that winning streak and all, but still.
Think DRose injury has put a bit of a crimp in the scalpers profits? Lots of people that bought season tix with the idea of rolling them into a profit are going to take a bath. That's why I would never do that. If I buy tickets, I'm doing it because I want to go to the games.

RE: Kobe's return:
I have suffered this injury, and it is not easy to return to the court, let alone play at an NBA level.
Kobe is coming back because he doesn't want the injury to end his career like it did Isaiah Thomas'. He thinks he's superhuman, and that nothing can stop him. But his age combined with this injury will stop him. Sad to see, because he is one of the greatest of all-time.
I would advise Kobe to retire, so as not to be a shell of his former self on the floor. He's had a phenomenal career. Enjoy the family, figure out what (if anything) to do next, and move on.
P.S. I am not a fan of any NBA team. Just wanted to add a fellow injury-sufferer's opinion.

Re: 2013-2014 NBA Season
I'm getting called almost everyday by the Bulls to sell me tickets. First it was a complete ST package, then a partial, now they are leaving messages almost daily about getting a group together. Hey Allie at the Bulls if you are listening: When I get time which I will I will be going down to catch a few games, but I think I'll grab some of those $9 seats on stubhub instead of paying what you all are charging.
It is amazing how the Bulls tix have gone from being the hardest ticket in town to get to people practically giving them away. Prices were down some last year, but with the team doing well and always the hope that Rose would come back tickets were still in reasonably high demand. This year they have tanked, they are still filling the place up because they sell something like 16,000 ST's, many if not most of those looking to make some money on the secondary market. They took a bath this year.
Loooooooong winter.

The NBA is boring, not to mention the Hawks are now Chicago's favorite, most successful team.
