If Rose is seriously hurt then I might be done. Enough is enough.

I just saw an animated gif and I'm good at picking this out .. I've seen some events where I knew it was 100% sure and i'm not there with Rose but it definitely is very possible he tore his ACL. The plant looks awkward but what really worries me is the second step where the knee just couldn't support him.

I hope I'm wrong but I'm about 55% sure he tore his right ACL.

edit - make it 65. That second step is weird where the knee just folded on him. Damn.

If Rose's history at coming back from injuries is a measuring stick, more likely to be 10-12 months.

It's better than an ACL and worse than about a million other things. The irony of this type of injury is the quicker he gets back the worse it is long term. If you repair it, which is better long term, it takes longer to recover. If you just cut it out and remove it you can return quicker but it's more likely to cause problems later on. And usually you don't get a choice - if the tear is to a portion of the meniscus that does receive adequate blood flow it won't repair, so you remove it. If it is on the other side where there is adequate blood flow you can patch it back together and it will repair.

My kid had to have a bunch of the meniscus removed when he tore his ACL, all this was explained to me which is how I sound like a doctor on these injuries.

Meniscus tear is not a big deal. Two options:

Shut him down for the year and try to get the no. 1 pick.

Surgery and be back in a month or two...or no surgery and prp it at the end of the uear. Or surgery now and prp at end of year.

Sorry. The last year and a half has just been incredibly frustrating. The Bulls were on the fringe of being a championship contender with a young, exciting team. Now Rose is probably going to be 26 years old before he plays again.......... and you have to figure his confidence going forward is going to be a serious issue. They're basically spinning their wheels, and on the verge of looking at another rebuild with the hopes of winning another lottery ticket like Rose.

Ugh.
