How about an ex-Mizzou basketball player?

He is basing that on the link you already posted, not something he's actually been told.

I didn't see that he tweeted that until after I posted that. But you're right, not time to panic yet.

Someone else from KSDK is tweeting that Anderson hasn't accepted the job.

I think Phins might be mistaken on the scholarship thing. The most recent story on McLemore was him announcing when he is going to make his announcement. That would give the impression KU is still going after him and that story is more current than his troubles at Oak Hill.
To be clear, it isn't my information to be right or wrong. I've been able to nail it down it came from a KC Star columnist insinuating Kansas has moved to other options. McLemore has been to three schools in a few years, grade issues, and character issues.

If you have your pick of the litter, as KU does, and recent issues with your basketball program as a cautionary tale, would you want that?

That's not a very fair statement to make considering the only reason he left Wellston is because it doesn't exist anymore.

It's too late for that. KU only has one commit for next year and McLemore is one of only a handful of elite players left unsigned. Winning basketball games is big business at KU and they could lose a lot to the NBA. KU will offer him if they think he will be eligible.

We'll see. If they leave a commitable offer, that's where he'll go.

FWIW, CBS is now running the Anderson to Arkansas story.

In it, they mention Cuonzo as a possibility to Mizzou as a replacement. That would stink.

And a pretty silly post for your first one. Did I say he was kicked out of three schools? Nope. I said he's been to three, which is true. Nothing more, nothing less.
