Memphis at Iowa, 8-19

Iowa wins this one, 6-3, scoring all their runs off John Gast, who looked pretty overmatched. Bullpen, including Marte and Cleto, held the I-Cubs the rest of the way and looked reasonably adequate in the process. Adron Chambers was 2-3 with a rally-continuing double in the ninth.

Pop Warner got ejected in the ninth for arguing a blown call on Matt Young. Young foul-tipped strike three and it bounced into the catcher's glove--but the ump called it a catch. Warner argued for a while and finally got tossed--of course, I'm surrounded by hometown fans cheering for the ejection, and I'm yelling "You can throw him out ten times but the ball still hit the dirt."
