Notes of interest:
Dan Reeves was a player/coach for the Cowboys.
Roger Staubach was on the bench as a backup.
This was the 4th or 5th MNF game ever.
TV commercials were very sexist.
Easy to see how Roger Wehrli ended up in the Hall of Fame.
Dang, Herb Adderley shoved the ref and didn't even get a flag.

Chuck Latourette was both the punter and punt returner for the Cardinals. Crazy. Later became and doctor who was allegedly shot and killed by his wife at the age of 38.

I haven't watched but the introduction, but I would rather watch that intro today than that crap they do now.

Cardinals were 7-2 and in 1st place at one point and finished 8-5-1.

My thoughts exactly. Today's intros are [expletive] - zap! Boom! Pow! robots! Hank jr! hip hop oh yeah! Zap Xbox Robots! Hey Fox etal, not all the game viewers are ADHD.

I'm only 5 minutes in but that is cool and will try to watch more.

Thoughts - all the names are there, Hart Lilly Craig Morton Landry etc etc. And I miss Howard Cosell all the sudden - an egotist for sure, but added an heir of importance to games. Overall, I like the more formal approach, even Dandy Don, they take with the pregame -instead of a bunch of today's blowhards trying to be pop icons. Cosell did that icon/I'm more important than the game thing, but in old school way.

They cut away to commercial after the national anthem starts. And goal posts still in the end zone. I thought that had stopped.

"coterie", "St. Louie", "Come to Marlboro country", 6 minutes before the first commercial. Things you don't see or hear on MNF.

Chuck Latourette -returning kicks for Cards and the Punter. And defensive back. That's great

And man, the QBs took beatings - watch the hit at 31:20 on Jim Hart - then stick with it and watch the fumbled punt return by cowboys.-Dandy Don goes "God darn it!etc - Sorry folks I'll try not to be biased tonight but I am"

Weird. They make really great tackles without leading with the head.
