NHL Offseason Thread
Since I don't want to jack the Blues thread, Flyers going nuts today. Carter traded to CBJ for Voracek, a 1st and a 3rd. Richards to the Kings for Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds.

Completely different Flyers team now than they were the last 3 years. I wish we could have gotten either one of those guys.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Since I don't want to jack the Blues thread, Flyers going nuts today. Carter traded to CBJ for Voracek, a 1st and a 3rd. Holy cow! Carter would have been a nice addition. If only we had an owner.

Not at the price C'bus paid. That's approximately equal to Perron+top 10 pick+3rd rounder for Carter. That's steep.

And Carter's 5.5m cap hit doesn't end until 2022.
GRB will have been around for 16 years when that contract ends.

6'3 200lbs, 26 years old, 29 or more goals in the last 4 seasons. That's not a bargain, but its an affordable deal for a very good player entering his prime.TheoSqua wrote:And Carter's 5.5m cap hit doesn't end until 2022.
