Rant: Post-Dispatch

Post by TheoSqua »

So, the Blues started their season this past weekend, right? And, uh, they won two games in a row against the Red Wings, right? This is like, the most exciting season for the Blues in years, right?

Hey, Post-Dispatch. Would you mind like, you know, MENTIONING THIS SOMEWHERE IN YOUR PAPER OR YOUR WEBSITE?!

I had the Sunday Sports section. It had Baseball, Football, College Football, Basketball, Golf, High School Football, High School Golf. Not a single mention of the Blues, anywhere outside of an ad, ANYWHERE, and this is the Sunday after 2 wins over the Red Wings.

Seriously, that's just pathetic.

If the page views were there, they'd run it.

The same newspaper that was the ONLY non-rightholder media outlet in town that went to the expense of covering this trip?

Interesting.

Bernie is an asshat. I want to feed him a [expletive] sandwich, because he'd shovel it down before he was able to figure out what he ate.

2-0 to start the year against the Red Wings is a pretty big [expletive] deal. GG Post-Dispatch.

If you go to the link, you'll see that he was replying to a really smarmy smartass post.

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't justify the lack of Blues coverage or anything... just Bernie's tone.

I've always been annoyed at how much attention dumb [expletive] like high school sports gets from the P-D. And if I had my druthers, the Rams would barely get any ink and their coverage would go to the Cardinals and Blues.

We just cancelled our local paper delivery. First time I can recall not having to go out and scoop the morning paper up off the driveway. But we finally realized it contained little news we hadn't heard, seen or read about already.
