SPEAKING OF TIME TRAVEL
if you could travel in back in time just for observation purposes without being able to interact with the ongoing events where would you go?

Either the Cannes debut of Apocalypse Now or December 31, 1970 at the Fillmore East for the shows that make up this album:

Re: SPEAKING OF TIME TRAVEL
What a tough question. Once I thought of the "right" answer for me, it seemed obvious.
I would like to observe my dad's WWII service in the Pacific.

Dinosaurs. No question. Especially since you've specified I can't interact (and therefore be eaten).

Re: SPEAKING OF TIME TRAVEL
The Battle of Soissons when my grandfather was wounded and the time he spent recuperating. It was during the latter stages of WWI.
He was in a French field hospital and no one spoke English. Communications between armies was pretty bad and things were really confused.
He spent the balance of the war hanging out in Paris and didn't report back until hostilities had ceased.
The US thought he was MIA and his parents had already gotten a letter.
He didn't really talk about it all that much.

Man, that's a tough one. I'd probably say the time of Christ, though.

I would want to be in Zurich, Switzerland in 1916 to be part of the birth of dada at the Cabaret Voltaire. My specialty would be hitting people in the face with a live halibut.
