Blood sucking mosquitoes
If there are any mosquitoes within 100 sq. feet of me, I'm convinced that every single one will have their way with me.

My wife always says she doesn't need mosquito repellent when I'm around because they will fly right past her and bite me. This has been proven numerous times when one of those little bastards get in the house. We will be sitting side by side on the couch, see the little f****r buzz right over her leg and land on mine. They are so bad in my neighborhood that if almost need repellent to take the garbage out.

They are usually not a big problem in Colorado, especially this year since it's been drier than normal. But on this current visit to the STL, I'm surprised at how few bites I've gotten, as I remember them always seeking me out. Maybe my blood is souring as I get older.

I got about a dozen bites hanging out with some friends on Saturday and that was after two coats of some Off...

I almost never get bit. Aren't bites related to the amount of sweat and carbon dioxide your body puts out?
EDIT: It also looks like alcohol is an attractant. So if you've had a few drinks or are wearing perfume or lotion with alcohol, you're probably going to get bit.

My hairy arms and legs make it hard for mosquitoes to bite me. When I get bit it's usually on my ankles. I consider this some sort of evolutionary advantage.

I have the same problem with my ankles. And the undersides of my arms where the hair isn't as thick.
