Music Board
how about a Music Discussion Board ?
there seems to be quite a few people interested in discussing, recommending, listing from the iPod, etc.

Lines In The Sand are the new "in" thing. Music is so last week.

Re: Music Board
I know there has been some demand for this. I've always been wary adding a new forums because it can detract from another forum and lower the overall experience of the board.
I guess my question to you is - what would you post in a music forum that you wouldn't in social? I'm not against it but why do we need it?

hmm... we don't need it, specifically.Michael wrote:I know there has been some demand for this. I'm always been wary to add a new forums because it can detract from another forum and lower the overall experience of the board.

its just that music threads seem to move at a slower pace and get pushed out and forgotten.
music discussions are more sort of timeless, "anytime" discussions where the social board is more "what's on everyone's mind NOW" ....
you could make it a "media" board, include movies & games & books & such. sort of a place for recommendations and discussions i would envision a few longer threads sticking around and growing, whereas the social board responds to a lot of current events and personal crises.
i could be wrong. its a tough decision finding the right balance between being too segmented and being too cluttered on a given board.

Re: Music Board
How about a Music/Movies board? I think that's the best compromise.
