If this were Brady Quinn of the Missouri Tigers or Brady Quinn of Northern Illinois or Brady Quinn of Vanderbilt, sliding to #22 overall would have been a very minor sub plot.
Because it was Brady Quinn of Notre Dame, (The BCS equivelent of the pre-04 Boston Red Sox) everyone on the Eastcoast Sports Promotion Network just had to have a group hissy fit.

I just checked it out again and I think he might have been catching some heat for being on Brady's jock because most of the Brady praise is gone now. Oh well.

That was Miami - their problem is they actually need a QB. Cleveland passed on Brady at #3, but ended up trading for Dallas' spot to get him anyway at #22.
The two things that made Miami's pick news were that Quinn immediately drops about 10 spots because no one else needed a QB, AND, that Ginn Jr. was picked about 10 spots too soon (coming off of injury, etc.).
The only thing I've heard that makes sense is that Miami doesn't want to draft a QB high because of the immediate pressure that will be on the guy comparing him to Marino.

NFL personnel guys don't give a rip what is in the media unless the player in question gets in the media via the "Pacman Jones route."
Am I the only one that actually thinks Quinn is going to be a good pro?
The most annoying thing was teams using up all 15 of their minutes to draft someone. Here's the thing, NFL teams, you've had MONTHS to figure out what you're going to do. There is zero reason for 32 teams to take up 6+ hours.

I think Quinn will be an excellent NFL QB. I don't think he's the second coming of Montana or Elway, but he'll be a very good one.
Sounds like KC would have grabbed him if he slipped one more place. I would have approved of that.
