I feel like he's a cheater and, even worse, he's shameless about it.

Don't like him. But, I praise him for separating himself from the Cubs organization and am not surprised that, subsequently, he is having success.

I've got nothing against the guy, and I'm not sure why other people do. He doesn't have Bonds' attitude, and we have less evidence against him than McGwire. The worst things are he used to be a Cub and got caught with a corked bat. as far as numbers go, most everything I've read suggests cork doesn't help. He tried to cheat, but he joins an illustrious group of players in that respect. As far as being a former Cub, I don't care. I have no problem with Derek Lee or Aramis Ramirez today.

when cubs are cubs I hate them but when they become former cubs I tolerate them.

I guess success is subjective:

Code: Select all

Year Ag Tm Lg G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG *OPS+ TB SH SF IBB HBP GDP
 2005 36 BAL AL 102 380 39 84 15 1 14 45 1 1 39 84 .221 .295 .376 82 143 0 3 3 2 15
 2007 38 TEX AL 11 44 5 9 1 0 3 10 0 0 1 9 .205 .222 .432 75 19 0 0 0 0 1
My apologies in advance if you are joking and I didn't pick up on it.

I still dislike him, for reasons other than baseball.
