I hate Nebrasketball, but if they poach Tim Miles, I will be elated.

Here's a neat little first look at some candidates via PowerMizzou/Gabe DeArmond:

https://missouri.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1632785

An important note in the article:
Note: This board is simply an initial list of potential candidates. It will change and be updated frequently. Names will be added and subtracted as we learn more about the search in the coming days.
So... just because a name's there doesn't mean anyone thinks they're likely. It appears to be a list of obvious people the university would want. Off of that list, I like Miller, Mack, and Miles most.

All I know is I would break something if they hired Frank Martin.

It was pretty weird to see his name there for a lot of reasons.

And yeah, I don't want any part of him.

So what's the real story? Alden give him a nudge?

I'm sure it wasn't hard for Haith to look and see that, between declining records, off-court issues, and decreasing attendance, he was going to have to have a decent 2014-2015 to keep his job. Given next year's roster and that they just lost their two best players to the NBA, I doubt either Haith or Alden or anyone else expected better results next year.

I'd say Alden gave him a nudge except it's so late in the hiring game. I doubt any AD wants to be hiring a coach right now.

I wish everyone would stop bringing up Kim Anderson. The dude spoke at my high school senior banquet and he was the most boring [expletive] human being alive. It was like one of the ents from Lord of the Rings trying to give a motivational speech. And his odds have to be ridiculously long.

I am 48. When I was in HS I met KA at a couple of basketball camps I attended, maybe a grad asst then or maybe one of Norm's assistant coaches. He was really a good guy. Also, I am 48.

Was it ever explained why the Lauries hate Norm Stewart?

I think it's Bill's lack of recruitment. Could have something to do with Josh Kroenke or Spencer, but I think they were both post-Norm (although I used to see him hanging around a lot during the Snyder years).

I don't think I ever told the story about when I was standing next to Linas Kleiza at Harpo's. He ordered a drink, the bartender brushed him off and basically told him to wait a second, to which he incredulously replied in these exact words: "I am the Kleiza."
