I honestly feel bad for people who get so worked up over something they have no control over.

Chances are, neither Obama nor McCain will be the best or worst President we've ever had.

The country will go on either way.

I live in a big city, and I'm not too concerned about it. I think there would be a lot of bitterness and disappointment, but I don't think there will be riots unless they think there was voter suppression, etc. going on specifically in St. Louis, similar to what happened in urban areas in Ohio in 2004.

Based on what I saw at the polls this morning, no one was having any issues with voting.

If this was projected to be a close race and a toss up as to who was going to win, I would agree with you about the disappointment

But with Obama projected everywhere and anywhere to run away with this thing, I can only imagine what some ignorant people are going to do to "rationalize" why he lost, i.e. racism and only racism

It's a totally different topic for a totally different day, but the amount of reverse racism in this country that goes by the way side without any repercussions is just as bad if not worse then the racism imo

For reverse racism to have any merit whatsoever, 200 years of American history would have to be completely non-existent.

I just don't think that there will be riots. What are they going to do? Just randomly light people's houses on fire and break into stores for fun?

I saw the folks at the polls this morning. I heard the gentleman behind me talk about how important of day this is for African Americans. But these were not the faces of people who will riot if Obama loses.

EDIT: On the bright side though, if McCain does win, at least we'll have a president that protects the rioters' rights to carry guns.
