Sounds like it's been confirmed. Backes is in.

I'm guessing he's out, as he probably should be.

I want them to win the Cup, don't get me wrong, but does it make sense to throw a half-conscious Backes out there? He just got ran through 4 days ago. If he wasn't a pro athlete, he'd probably be prescribed quiet rest in a darkened room for a week or two.

Im getting both. Random rumblings on twitter are that Backes is a GO for tonight. Other sources like Rutheford and other Blues writers are saying Backes didnt skate in the morning practice and coach Hitch wont say if he will be available or not. I am leaning toward him not being available since I would be surprised if he was anyway.
