The oddest thing about the entire Seabrook incident is that the NHL pretended that there wasn't a hit to the head. The refs called it charging, and the DoPS video only mentions it as a dangerous play because of Backes' "ineligibility." Why avoid the language, developed by Rule 48, about the principal point of contact being the head? I'll take the 3 games, but I don't get why they're pretending this had nothing to with Seabrook putting hit shoulder through Backes' cerebral cortex.

They always gun for Backes because of his accomplished history of treating Toews like a weakling, but it's fun to see the Hawks willingly play the Blues game rather than remain above the fray and just play the puck possession, finesse game that has won them two cups. Those idiots (Seabrook, Keith, Toews) are playing right into the Blues hands.

I hope the Blues do the smart thing, and focus on winning the series.

Then, on October or November, I hope Seabrook opens the Roman Polak door.

I would love to see the Polak door get opened early next season, but not in this series, the sweetest revenge would be to sweep the Blackhawks out of the playoffs.

Blackhawks fans love to point out that Backes only takes a run at smaller players like MacKinnon and Toews (the same Toews that is an inch shorter and 10 pounds lighter than Backes). Also, apparently Rick Nash & Corey Perry are Hobbits now.
