um, bodies need time to recover after getting slammed into the ground repeatedly by 300 pound men. Every extra day of rest makes a big difference.

I don't read his article as defending the bounty program, but highlighting the hypocrisy of the NFL when it comes to player safety.

The normal schedule would be 4 games in 20 or 21 days. I think it's a silly alarmist attitude by this author trying to make an issue out of the 17 days, and comparing it to the bounty program. You're talking about (on average) 1 less day rest per game.

You don't think that one day less, every week for four weeks in a row is a very big deal. The author does and players do...I place more weight in what they say on the topic than what you do. You seem to think that 1 less day of rest between games is no big deal, you are simply wrong according to the people who actually play the game. The point of the article is that a schedule like this places the players health at risk more than a bounty program did. I agree with that, you don't and I don't care.

I don't mind it. Fisher could have challenged two touchdown calls and didn't....I get the feeling he isn't screwing with, or putting up with, small crap until they start winning.
