I knew he was screwed when he came out in that leg brace. I had a similar leg brace AFTER I had ACL surgery.lukethedrifter wrote:I saw that when it happened and knew he was screwed. Actually the way he hobbled after the first one showed me that he had some real instability. He looked like his lower leg felt heavy ( because it does when it's not attached right).Freed Roger wrote:Pic says it all
This idiot Lillibridge on 101 this morning was RAGING about the poor field conditions- he's a player agent and said he'd sue- yet totally supported Shanahan et al because you have to let the player decide.

Leslie Frazier is probably feeling good about not starting Christian Ponder. Vikings were highly unlikely to win the superbowl. Redskins were a longshot too. Even though I don't know much about Kirk Cousins (wash backup QB) I still think if Shanahan pulled Griffen early, Washington wins that game.
Pondering the NFC wild card games (pun intended) I can't help but think that finances of the NFL contribute (roster limits, the schedule, the salary cap constraints) to this problem with allocating too much money and reliance on stars -especially where one playoff team has to go with a backup as awful Joe Webb. And Redskin's thinking they can only win by using and exposing their crippled scrambling QB.

Here's a tweet he sent out before they went in and repaired his LCL:
I know this was before they 'determined' he needed another ACL surgery, but the poor guy is either completely naive, stupid or misinformed. No way he's playing next season...."Thank you for your prayers and support. I love God, my family, my team, the fans, & I love this game. See you guys next season."

Re: NFL 2012 season thread
What is it about Washington coaches/managers not asking doctors their opinions about whether or not to play a star player? Of course, one didn't play, and the manager/front office was criticized. One did play, and the coach/front office is criticized.

That 6 month timetable which is doable but one of the faster recovery timetables is usually doubled for the 2nd surgery, I thought....

Rob Parker called RG3 a name that meant he wasn't very black.
