What chili do you love then?

Our town is really small, but every October they hold a chili cook-off and about 30 people enter. One year someone made a white chili, and I thought it was manna sent from Heaven. I never thought I could love a chili that wasn't dark red.
I love my own chili the best...

I like the white chili too though. There is a place on Main St. in St. Charles and I can't remember the name of it but they have great white bean chicken chili. It even comes with jalapenos.

But I'm not crazy about Steak N Shakes because it doesn't have much beans and it is too greasy. And not spicy.

I have a great recipe for white chili (with jalapenos) that I can send you. And now that I've thought of it, I think I might make some this weekend.

The canned chili is made by Castleberry's Food Co., which recalled canned-meat products possibly connected to a botulism outbreak.

Trailhead Microbrewery's chili is very good too.

I also recommend Taylor's Chili. You can find this stuff on the square in Carlinville IL.

I also give high marks to Tony Packos Chili. This is the place in Toledo made famous by Corporal Klinger in MASH.

Wendy's does a better job on chili than Steak n Shake.

The fewer the beans in a chili, the better the chili is.

I wasn't overly impressed with them, but the fried pickles are great.
