Sheelhouse just broke out of a sack. So close to being a catch.

That was a legal play, guy.
Yeah, when Smith hit him Scheelhaase he still had a foot in bounds.

Haha, that 4th down play was ruled out of bounds and some Illini fan soccer mom is clapping furiously.

Gabbert needs a buzz, he looks like a turd.

Scheelhaase looks like he has some potential. Like it was mentioned, they stopped doing what worked. If they stick to the ground for the most part, and stop forcing him to throw like Brees, they can get some results.

Scheelhaase has some skills and is exciting but listening to the announcers fellate him all game has been a bit much.

I don't understand why they don't even try to run anything out of the pistol. At least you can run between the tackles out of that formation. The tackle trapping and guard pulling is sniffed out by every halfway good defense in the country.
Pistol, Ace formation, anything. I get literally furious watching them run those motion draws out of shotgun. The play takes forever to develop and is telegraphed from the beginning. it works maybe 1 out of 4 times.

I think it's because he's a Missouri kid. He looked pretty dynamic in the first half but I think all those hits took a toll.

I can't tell if Illinois has improved, Mizzou played like [expletive], or Mizzou isn't as good as we hoped.

I didn't feel like Missouri played poorly. 1 turnover to Illinois' 3. I think Illinois' defense looks better than it has, and Mizzou's offense looks more vanilla than I remember the last couple of years.

Both pretty good teams, but definitely not BCS teams.

Illinois was fired up and ready to play early. The biggest thing might be that first drive that took almost a whole quarter that shortened the game and delayed Mizzou getting in rhythm. Overall Mizzou is about what I expected, minus a little more explosiveness. Defense is a little better. Hopefully they can look for JJ and Egnew down the field more. Illinois is going to get that kid killed if they ask him to run all over the place like that every week.
