If I was the Indians, I'd be really angry about that. Do you know how much money the team loses just in gate money alone when they lose a home game?

It's better than playing 53 games in July.

Wouldn't the natural solution be to play these 3 in LA, and then flip-flop the later series in LA to Cleveland? Or maybe they only play each other this one time. Either way, the Tribe is gonna lose a ton of scratch on the deal.

Then you piss off all the fans who bought tickets to the LA series who can't make it there for a series starting tomorrow.

Pittsburgh's park is currently occupied.

However, Cincy does have a vacancy.

My guess is they wanted to insure the games actually happened. A roof will help you do that.

I think his daughter is listed as the official owner. Or at least at one point she was.

I've heard the reason they didn't do that is because the Angels would have then have to fly from Los Angeles to Boston to play the Red Sox without an off day.

Some of you are forgetting that the Indians played the entire 1989 season at Milwaukee's county stadium...... They also played a 1 game playoff against the Yankees there to decide the AL East Title.....

I was just about to mention that - as "Major League" was indeed filmed at Milwaukee County Stadium. The TV station advertisement gives it away, and of course they choreographed Willie Mays Hayes' leaping grap at the wall to duplicate Willie McGee's 1982 WS catch (Game 3) as closely as possible - it's the same wall!
