Re: The Beer Thread
I'm not big on stouts, but Bell's Kalamazoo Stout is now my favorite beer. Absolutely amazing.

Heading up to the Northeast - Boston and Hartford areas. Any good local brews up that way?

Thumbs up to some old standard bearers - New Belgium Hoptober

- a fall seasonal beer that doesn't succumb to the pressure of making beer taste like muldering leaves with the spice cabinet emptied into it. And Sierra Nevada's Tumbler.
Also tried Schlafly's Hop Harvest Ale on tap at Maplewood - and I liked. Their seasonal Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ale -not my thing.

Basically a bunch of malt liquor, cheap frat house beers, and Cave Creek Chili Beer.

I refuse to take seriously any site that claims Coors is less [expletive] than Budweiser or any of the other mainstream brands. There are at least a half-dozen different excretions from my own body that I would drink over a Coors.Jocephus wrote:http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/TheWorstBeers.asp

Re: The Beer Thread
can someone give me some advice...and i'll probably do a piss poor job of explaining...
the liquor store i usually go to, i usually just grab a 6 pack outta the fridge or whatever...well, i've noticed they have a shelf with what i believe is described as "ales" but they are not refrigerated and they are usually sold 1 a piece...what exactly are these? do they give you a nice buzz? you drink them room temperature?
anybody?
