When you put it that way...yeah! That doesn't sound gay at all. Just two cool dudes getting gay-married.TimeForGuinness wrote:"There's nothin gay about two cool dudes getting married."

I was a bit underwhelmed with SunnyP. A moment here and there, but the glory years may be behind us. It used to be week-in/week-out gold, but last year was inconsistent and this year didn't start that strong.
The League is sort of funny but it feels pretty amateurish.
I devoured Archer. Hilarious show. Lana can crawl into Cool World bed with me and Jessica Rabbit any day.

Saigon, are you still in Saigon? How do you watch US shows overseas?MrSaigon wrote:I was a bit underwhelmed with SunnyP. A moment here and there, but the glory years may be behind us. It used to be week-in/week-out gold, but last year was inconsistent and this year didn't start that strong.

Illegally or online through location filters (also illegal?) when my connection is fast enough. Pirates have that stuff up real fast. And though the commercials are cut, I have friends in America write down all the advertisers, and I plan on patronizing them all as soon as my squirrel jerky business takes off. But actually I just got back and watching tv is much easier and legit. I've done a lot of catching up already.G. Keenan wrote:Saigon, are you still in Saigon? It's a pastry with dulce de leche (or something like it) in the middle. My roommate's Argentine girlfriend made them for us.G. Ugh, I just realized it Boardwalk Empire night. Looks like they're gonna replay it through the evening.

Re: TV Thread
I think Mad Men has hit it out of the park the last 3 episodes after a rough start. Dramatically, I think the easy way out is to let Don continue on a downward spiral, and I'm glad they're not going that route. At the same time it doesn't seem cheesily uplifting or revelatory as he figures out how to do the right thing. He also still fails here and there.
Also got through Season 2 on Breaking Bad. No way to be certain of this, but if the two leads aren't as spectacular as they are, I'm not sure that show is as good. Nice that they both got Emmy's because they're both deserved. I'd like to single one of the two out but you really can't. I read a good review comparing it to Mad Men, and it made the point that you care about these characters more than those on Mad Men, even though Mad Men has a tougher job in that it has to create drama out of real life (and avoid being soapy) as opposed to the conflicts imposed by the criminal life or cancer. That summed it up pretty well for me, though I think the two shows are apples and oranges.
