O'Fallon Gold is pretty good beer.

I like it on tap.

Had a couple of these with lunch today.

Not too bad for 3 bucks a bottle. Really, really hoppy. Has kind of a sweet smell but isn't necessarily sweet. And it's 9.7%

They have an IPA I think I'm going to try next time.

I've recently moved to Brussels and have been informed that the Belgians make great beer. I've tried a few thus far but haven't been wowed by any yet. They definitely make some strong beer though.

Any experts out there on Belgian Beer and what's good?

I had a dry hopped APA on cask plus an Oktoberfest at Schlafly today for lunch. Where did you eat?

Bar Louie is carrying Hofbrauhaus' Hefeweisen. I also noticed a Hofbrauhaus sign hanging off a bar on the west end of the Loop, didn't see which bar though.

I love Hofbrauhaus' beer. It is yummy.

Free Beer!

http://www.usatoday.com/money/advertisi ... 2_ST_N.htm

In-bev giving away Bud in response to plummetting sales of the product.

I'm not clear what Bud means - is it Bud light, Select etc?.

And why this marketing will work -but just for a day

FWIW I can still tolerate an occassional Bud, sometimes a Select.*

*but will avoid them from here on out-even when its the only option.. At Rams game Sunday I succumbed to drinking the beer on tap at the dome (bud something) and later that night came down with a severe case of the s [expletive]. I [expletive] you not. Yeah it could have been something else that did me in, but sometimes you just know. Yeah you may think its funny, but its really ....

My birthday is the day after they start the campaign... I'm excited about free beer.

I love craft beers and all that good stuff, but sometimes an ice cold bud is great... like last week going to a volleyball game to support a friend. Drinking 72 ounces of bud made the game 10x more enjoyable.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. It's a decent tasting beer but that's the second time that's happened to me. I totally avoid it now.
