Looks like a pretty standard Thor's Hammer inside a shield. Now I have to go bleach my eyes (and hope some of it gets into my brain too).Radbird wrote:Any idea what the tattoo is?

Something from his days as an USAF parachute jumper.

Re: The Official WTF Thread
It's a pretty popular neo-pagan symbol, and it's also one of the the most commonly found categories of jewelry from the pre-Christian era in Northern Europe. It's also close enough to a cross that its use continued for some time after most people in those areas (British Isles, Scandinavia, Northern Germany, etc...) were converted. Judging by the (lack of) historical accuracy of the sword in the picture, I'm guessing it's a neo-pagan thing, rather than being for reenactment in this case. Ugh.Radbird wrote:Does it mean anything? Thanks, jazzz. I was googling around and it looks like it could be racist/neo-nazi too. Ugh is right.

That makes sense with Hitler's obsession with Norse mythology.Radbird wrote:Thanks, jazzz. I was googling around and it looks like it could be racist/neo-nazi too. Ugh is right.

I hope I'm not the only one who thought it was a bird's eye of the Negh'var Klingon Battleship.
