Good Grief. Is this Rad's fault?
(CNN) -- Giant rocks came tumbling down a snowy Colorado mountainside early Monday, punching gaping holes in the interstate below, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.

The rock slide at Glenwood Canyon halted travel on Interstate 70 between Glenwood Springs and Dotsero, about 18 miles east, according to the department. Glenwood Springs is about 120 miles west of Denver. It is unclear when construction crews will complete enough work to open at least part of the roadway.

About 20 boulders struck the interstate shortly after midnight, the transportation department said. They ranged from 3 feet to 10 feet in diameter, with the largest weighing an estimated 66 tons, the department said on its Web site.

Wow. That could have been ugly. I have driven that stretch of I-70 through Glenwood Canyon probably a half-dozen times. It gets a lot of winter traffic because it's basically the only east-west artery for over a hundred miles when CO 82 is closed during the winter.

Not my fault - I was soundly asleep. Unless the Boobasaurus Rex dream I was having sent shockwaves to the west.

Until they fix it, this is a helluva detour.

A woman who shaved her bikini area while driving caused a car crash in Florida Keys, prompting police to issue fresh warnings about safe driving, MyFox National reported Monday.

Megan Mariah Barnes, 37, crashed into another vehicle on Cudjoe Key after giving her ex-husband the wheel as she shaved her private parts.

Barnes was driving to meet her boyfriend in Key West and told authorities she wanted to be “ready for the visit,” WJZ.com reported.

She was within a hair of losing her life.

I'm going through there this weekend, heading to Utah. I-70 will be safe there, right?

As long as you are not planning to drive through Colorado, you should be fine.

Man, this is a huge problem if they cannot fix the highway soon. There is no way practical way for semi trucks to get through to Glenwood and on to Grand Junction. 82 through Aspen would be the best alternate, but it won't accommodate semis. And lots of skiers who go to Aspen/Highlands/Snowmass fly to Eagle and then drive the 2 hours to Aspen. Now that is not an option.

What kind of time does that detour take compared to the damaged route?
