Re: The Video Game Thread
Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most accessible shooters on that market. The auto aim makes it easier for newer players to find some success in multiplayer. The co-op is good too.
I'm playing MW2 on the PS3 right now, but I'm most likely going to jump to the 360 version (oddly enough I have both copies).

being a former hardcore gamer, I really don't like the autoaim... but you have to use it if you want to ever go a round with more kills than deathsMichael wrote:Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most accessible shooters on that market. Yeah, the hardcore get a little miffed about auto aim. I think Halo is better if you want something a little more hardcore with an active community.

yea, Halo is fun and all, but realistic combat has always been my thing... I hope they come out with a new Ghost Recon game, I loved the original and GRAW2 was badassMichael wrote:Yeah, the hardcore get a little miffed about auto aim. Re: The Video Game Thread
probably bc more ppl have 360 in general. it's a cheaper system and with a larger online community, it makes it more fun for online playJocephus wrote:i don't own a ps3, i have no issues with the ps3...im sure its a fun system, but it *seems*...most people have mw2 for 360...why? i dont know...and i could be wrong as its more a "feeling" than a stat...

Live and
popping up.
(so what if my brother and I are playing through Halo ODST on co op just to get some of those addictive things to pop up on our screen and add to our gamerscore...there's nothing wrong with that.)

No, nothing wrong with it. I'm playing the PS3 version because an old buddy got a PS3 XMAS and he wanted to play MW2 together (I already had the 360 version). If you buy it let me know.TimeForGuinness wrote:Is there something wrong with the PS3 version? I may switch to the 360 because I have more friends there, Live is better and the 360 controller is more comfortable for shooters.
With multiplats I almost always go with the 360 version.

Re: The Video Game Thread
Probably going to be investing money in a PS3 next week sometime. Plan on picking up BioShock, which is only 19.99 now and hopefully Uncharted 2 is back in stock at work by then. If not, I gotta make a decision. Because I definitely want two games. May go with Ninja Gaiden Sigma or Borderlands, even though I think I'd rather have it for the 360. I'll figure something out.
One turnoff about the PS3 is I have to buy the HDMI separate, which is an extra 50, so I may just end up getting one game and the cables. I can't imagine gaming in a world without HD.
Also, is it lame that one of the sole reasons I want a PS3 is that I'm such a HUGE Final Fantasy fanboy that I'd buy it at this point just for FF 13? Because I'm so hyped for that game I could esplode.
