Re: The Video Game Thread
So I found out tonight that for 2 years I've been gaming in 480p when my TV is capable of 720p and 1080i.

Re: The Video Game Thread
if you're going to do multiplayer it's the top game right now.
If you're just interested in single player I'd rent it as it's relatively short.

Everyone's really digging that game. How bad do you want it?
I'd hold at that price, unless you've got nothing else to play.

I want an online multi-player game for 360, because all I have is sports games..Tambourine Man wrote:Everyone's really digging that game. How bad do you want it?

Cost really isn't an issue, I have a crap ton of money left from Christmas that I don't see myself spending any time soon on anything else...
Is the online play for COD easy to figure out? I'm kind of video game illiterate..

Wait for Joce to chime in. I've never messed with the multiplayer for COD.

the online is super addictive...i'll agree that the solo campaign is relatively short but it was still a lot of fun (imo)
additionally, special ops (which can be played solo; some of the maps) is a great 2 player co-op experience too
me and my buddy have become literally addicted to mw2 multiplayer these last few weeks...its fun...just want to keep gaining experience..

Re: The Video Game Thread
depends on your comfort/ability with FPS...i mean the general mechanics "run and shoot" are easy to figure out, but there are perks that you can add which change the dynamic of the player and figuring out which ones are best for you can be a bit "tricky", plus all the different weapon combinations...i am by no means an expert with COD (this is my first game in the series...er i think i had one on gamecube)...but i just pick what works for me...JS04 wrote:

i dont know how much you want to really research it, but this is a good wikia for CoDmw2
http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Call_o ... _Warfare_2
additionally, if you really have time, i suggest browsing this site and looking for "MW2" streams...people broadcast their live playing and you can see if you think youd like it and you'll probably learn soem stuff too...you'll get people playing on ps3 and pc but its all the same

honestly, i'd say the biggest challenge is learnign the maps and all the places you can hide, run to, etc...

Re: The Video Game Thread
also, i would like to add that Left 4 Dead 2 is a great FPS multiplayer game too...you can play campaign online or do a VS mode...its much more a team based game, whereas COD you may have team objectives but everybody plays with a solo mindset
if you like zombies and shooting games, you cant go wrong with l4d2...if i wasn't on a mw2 kick right now id be mostly playing l4d2
