In NE Ohio, it's dumped two inches in the last hour. The best part is hanging outside in the heavy snow. We're doing 20 min. interval revelry.

That's about a 40 mile stretch I was referring to. The first 140 miles or so were pretty normal for the most part.Transmogrified Tiger wrote:whiterat24 wrote:Well that was an enjoyable 200 mile death march home today....Took us almost 2 hours to drive...normally we do that easily in under an hour.

We had winter storms like that during Christmas week in 2006, omaha. Not fun at all. We have about 10" on the ground right now and no major warm up coming to melt this crap anytime soon.

I think I heard that we received 25 inches of snow over the course of three days.

In Flagstaff, snow and a brief rain shower before returning to heavy snow are anticipated through early Satrurday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through noon Saturday, stating that 2-4 feet are possible above 6500 feet, and 3-5 feet are possible above 7000 feet during that time period. The City of Flagstaff activated its Emergency Operations Center inside the Flagstaff Police Department at 7 pm Wednesday night, allowing for city and county agencies to coordinate efforts during this winter storm.
That's in addition to what is on the ground now.

We are expecting up to 4 inches of rain in Phoenix this week, if we get that, it will be twice the ammount of rain we got all of last year. Everything here floods when we get a light rain. It has been raining steadily since about midnight last night. I am not even sure if I will be able to get home from work today becasue some of the washes flow across roads and close close them down and you can't get through.

Haven't had much here, none on the ground now, and I'm worried.
The only thing that says spring more than " pitchers and catchers " is having the snow pack melt away.
Then I head outside, locate the presents that my neighbor's dog has left over the course of the winter, take out my clubs, and work on my short game, being careful to visualize their deck, gas grill, and automobiles as the greens at Augusta.
It is preferrable to act while the temperature is cold enough to achieve backspin, but an occasional chunk shot towards the Bay window, under warmer conditions, is just as satisfying.
