Not yet, shame on me. It's on tap at a bar up the street so I don't even have an excuse. I'll try to grab a pint tomorrow.lukethedrifter wrote:Anyone get a chance to try the Sierra Nevada/Dogfish Head collaboration?

I promise I won't put a gun to your head, you can still say you like the Palo Santo more. It has a cooler story anyway.

Arcadia Imperial Stout. I liked. akin to Dogfish Head Santo Palo Marron.
Liquor store (Randall's ) hangs RateBeer.com #s on choice craft beers. Not sure if it helps, but stirs the curiousity.

that place must be cooler than I thought it would be. I drive right past it every day and have never been inside.

I've determined over the past year or so that IPA's are by far my favorite beers out there. I try to grab different one's when I go to the store but a couple of my go to beers are the Racer 5, and the Bell's Two Hearted.

I know I've mentioned this before, Karp, but in case you missed it during your posting sabbatical, here's my favorite IPA.

Rad, I've actually tried that one as well but if I remember correctly it was when I was on the west coast (in California). I'm not sure if it's available in the stl area. I do remember it being very good though. I actually try to save a bottle (empty of course) from every different one I try, that way I can remember if I've tried it & if it's any good.Radbird wrote:I know I've mentioned this before, Karp, but in case you missed it during your posting sabbatical, here's my favorite IPA.

I wasn't expecting the amount of hops (pleasantly surprising) for as dark as this is. Highly recommended.

Re: The Beer Thread
Anyone had the Schlafly Reserve Barleywine or whatever it's called? I picked up a bottle when I was home for Christmas, it's sitting in my wine fridge now.
By the way, where do people buy good beer in North County? I tried 5 or 6 places last week and couldn't find anything.
