Missouri landed 5 star recruit Tony Mitchell this weekend. That should round out a solid 2010 recruiting class and probably good enough for a top 20 and maybe even top 10 recruiting class in the nation.

Here are the players coming in:

Tony Mitchell 5*
Phil Pressey 4*
Kadeem Green 3*
Ricky Kreklow 3*

Coach Anderson is finally bringing in some big name talent so things should be exciting at Mizzou for the next few years.

Yeah, my Missouri State Bears missed their chance to be the big program in Missouri a few years back when Mizzou was down. Mike Anderson sticks it in my heart again, as Missouri State actually bypassed Mike Anderson to hire Barry freaking Hinson 10 years ago.

He's a great coach, and will have them back to top-15 teams in the very near future.

Why no mention from phins that Southwest Missouri State beat Auburn?

Just imagine if Michael Porter had been able to play. They would have rolled.

Because they didn't...there is no such place.

Missouri State on the other hand, thumped Auburn. It was a really fun game to be at, and the Bears pretty much took them apart from start to finish. Had one of the sickest dunks I've ever seen from Jermaine Mallet. A 6-3 JUCO transfer, who went up over a 6-10 Auburn kid, who could jump out of the gym for an And1. That pretty much ignited things for the Bears, and then they were off from there...

Only 7100 or so on hand? What's the deal?

Kudos to Purdue alum and longtime Boilermaker assistant Cuonzo Martin, who appears to be building something special there.

Success couldn't come to a better, more deserving guy...

Iowa basketball players are apparently too distracted by the football team's whirlwind season to notice that they are really, really terrible. First 0-2 in 38 years.

I suppose it's all relative, as that would have nearly been a sellout in the old arena. Monday night, rainy weather, $15 for upper deck seats, and they don't sell lower seats for single games. I'd like to see them slash the prices some, and if need be, go around to area high schools and give out tickets if they promise to use them. Build a fanbase of high school kids, and you might get not only a better following, more attendance, but you might also increase enrollment some. I know I picked my college somewhat based on athletics, and the local team forming a bond could improve student turnout as well.

The attendance was 7,231 I believe.
