The demo is absolutely awesome, but it's so laggy. Maybe because 8 billion people are downloading and playing at once, I dunno, but it's really good.

Yeah, I've noticed that. One of the things I'm most hyped about for L4D2 is Realism Mode. Rumor has it it'll be a headshots-only type thing. That's what I call a challenge. Expert Mode my ass.Jocephus wrote:the l4d servers have been sluggish latelyPujolJunkie wrote:The demo is absolutely awesome, but it's so laggy. i don't know if it's headshots *only*, but thats what you want to go for...and i know realism takes away the character and item outlines, and no alerts...it'll definitely be fun...PujolJunkie wrote:Yeah, I've noticed that. Yes, nothing says realism like zombie video games.
I've been playing RE:4 again on the Wii, I don't know why I do it to myself. Playing an hour of Resident Evil before going to bed is not conducive for "sweet dreams."

heh, RE4 was a great, great game but it's not even close to the "scariest" one in the series, which was 3.JackofDiamonds wrote:I've been playing RE:4 again on the Wii, I don't know why I do it to myself. Playing an hour of Resident Evil before going to bed is not conducive for "sweet dreams."
Not ever knowing when Nemesis was going to show up was awesome and terrifying at the same time.

I'll agree with that, but I only have RE4 for the Wii. There's a new one coming out soon, right?Cronos69 wrote:heh, RE4 was a great, great game but it's not even close to the "scariest" one in the series, which was 3.JackofDiamonds wrote:I've been playing RE:4 again on the Wii, I don't know why I do it to myself. I always found Silent Hill infinitely scarier. Couldn't play it by myself in the dark for more than an hour.

The new one coming out on the Wii is a sequel to The Umbrella Chronicles, which was a roller-coaster shooter. Fun in its own right, kind of a "House of the Dead" sorta thing, but not really a survival horror type.JackofDiamonds wrote:I'll agree with that, but I only have RE4 for the Wii. And Silent Hill was much more creepy, yes. Even though 2 was the best in the series, playing Silent Hill 3 in the dark on headphones in the middle of the night was fantastic.

I played RE4 on the PS3 first, and the controls on the Wii make it scarier. There's no strafing, so to look around a corner when you're at the end of a hallway and can turn right or left, you have to sprint out with your camera angled, do a 180, sprint back, and hope you can do a 180 again before anything coming from the other direction can chop off your head.

That would make the part where the endless ganados invade the cabin and you have to survive long enough almost impossible.
