I love the choice of package tape. He is the MacGyver of Wolfman-mask-wearing taco eaters.stlouie_lipp wrote:I like how he is still wearing his watch. What town are you in?cardsfansince82 wrote:So I'm in some [expletive] town in Arkansas that might be the whitest place on Earth. Non-gingers are the ones shunned here. I've already gotten several dirty looks for my uppity "loose fit" jeans and fancy "Air Jordan sneakers." I'm desperate for something to kill the time and I find out there is actually a movie theater here. What is the one movie they are showing this week? If you guessed anything but Tyler Perry's latest money grab you would be wrong. Sounds like someone failed Marketing. I'm contemplating going to Wal-Mart and wandering around.

Booneville I think. I'm about a half hour east of Fort Smith. If they have a radio station here I'm guessing they just play Dueling Banjos on loop.InvincibleCakeEater wrote:What town are you in?cardsfansince82 wrote:So I'm in some [expletive] town in Arkansas that might be the whitest place on Earth. Really?? You have to go to a liquor store?sighyoung wrote:

In South Carolina you can only buy beer in grocery stores. You have to go to "package stores" for all other alcohol. They can't have names (until recently) and their signs are just three large red dots. Sometimes the dots are next to "Package Store". Also, until recently, all bars had airplane bottles. No free pour. When I bartended back then, inventory count downs were such a [expletive]. Counting hundred of tiny airplane bottles. Also, they didn't sell or serve alcohol on Sundays (until about a year ago in most counties).
BUT even though you couldn't by liquor in a grocery store (much less a gas station) or by any alcohol on Sunday - you could drink at a bar for 24 hours straight. They don't have to close at 1:30 am or 3:00 am - or at all.

Yea, back home we have a Kroger (pretty much the same as Schnucks) with a Kroger liquor store next door to it. It's pretty stupid.docellis wrote:Really?? You have to go to a liquor store?sighyoung wrote:

Heck, you can't even buy Jack Daniels in the same county where it's distilled.
edit: also reminded me, you can't have alcohol shipped to your house in Kentucky either. My dad is in some wine club where he gets 6 bottles a month sent to him, so he has to have it shipped to his office in Indiana.
